Haka! Haka! Haka!
The D-brane Hobbits (Aseem, Suvrat, Tridib and yours truly) trounced the defending champions to win the annual TIFR Quiz on Saturday! So here I am gloating!
Actually this is a tribute to that great Carnatic Singer, Maharajapuram Santhanam (featured right), who clinched it for us. A clip of "Vathapi Ganapathim" was played out, and we had to answer who sang it. I had two options - Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, and Maharajapuram Santhanam. Naren of Psychedelia (who co-won the prize with us) answered the former, and was wrong. That left the field clear for us to give the right answer, and our team surged ahead. We maintained our lead till the end then.
