Now This Fellow is a Survivor

The word survivor is used so lightly nowadays, you come out of a tough marriage and say you 'survived'. You say that for escaping from a mad boss or some tough situation in life. If you're lucky, you might actually survive an aeroplane crash. But here is a guy, or a buffalo calf really, who survived. When all hope was lost between the jaws of a pride of lionesses and a crocodile even, she hung on to her dear life until her herd gathered courage and returned to fight their oppressors. Now when all seems lost, when clouds have darkened the sky from horizon to zenith, remember the buffalo, and plod on.
