Castles in the air - they are so easy to take refuge in. And so easy to build, too.

Butterflies, boys and storms

Nature also makes
chameleons that contrast
with her butterflies.

- me

Nature also makes tiny boys
who stone chameleons and
paste butterflies into albums.

- Max

When nature thinks up
mindless destruction she creates
ten year old boys.

- me

Ten year boys when twenty,
foot soldiers of despots
pillage villages.

- Max

When nature's angry
she makes storms, when she's bashful
she makes butterflies.

- me

When nature becomes
angry, she crushes men like
helpless butterflies.

A history ... a torn history of the world. Brilliant!

the homeless soldier
mourns his loss of courage
while the whiskey spills

I enjoyed the poetic brilliance - the metamorphosis - the terrible "lie" of life.
